- Club Overview -

FC Drakkar is a Hattrick soccer team founded in season 25. Drakkar played in USA VI.176, USA V.206, USA IV.49, USA III.8, USA II.1, USA III.8, USA II.3 and III.13 over 20 seasons and now resides in USA II.4. Originally named the Waves, the franchise was renamed FC Drakkar, in season 26, after the Viking longboats that terrorized Europe and beyond. In season 27, Auðun was adopted as the official Drakkar mascot.

 
   

Drakkar is headquartered and play their matches in San Diego, California at the beautiful Valhalla Arena.

Ian Dogra helps Drakkar survive qualifier!
Trinidad & Tobago international striker helped FC Drakkar defeat Less Than Zero and maintain their position in division II. FC Drakkar took three leads only to see Less Than Zero tied the score three times. However, in the 83rd minute, Salvador Leal Sorriente put in the four Drakkar goal which ultimately gave FCD the victory.

Drakkar completes tour of all fifty states...
With this week’s friendly against the Cottonmouths of Arkansas, FC Drakkar has completed its fifty state tour that included visiting every state plus the District of Columbia. The tour began in April of 2005 with a game against Necaxa GTO in Texas and completed next door in Arkansas against the Cottonmouths.

Kimbrough worth millions!
Phenom youth defender Noble Kimbrough turned out to be the golden egg! After playing a mere 5 minutes for the first squad, Kimbrough was sold to Virtuele Reïncarnatie vd FC Beijum Uut Grunn for a record $4.75. He is a excellent defender for his age and possesses passing and playmaking skills. At just 17, Kimbrough is a front runner for a position on the junior national team.

A 20-year-old Colorado product that Drakkar purchased from Danish outfit PL Dreamteam for under $1M, but developed into a top midfielder in the upper divisions. Adept in the air and a good passer, Reid played more than 100 matches for FC Drakkar and was name club MVP in seaosn #39

Malcom Isom - Winger
Back in season 31, Malcom was the most expensive outfield player [non-keeper] ever acquired by FC Drakkar at just under $1.8M from FC Jamoigne. He was purchased as a 20-year-old wing. He possesses the ability to dominate the flank and also help out in midfield and is an exceptional player in the air.

Salvador Leal Sorriente - Striker
Salvador was purchased for a record $4.86M at the start of season 37 from Argentine club Matagordos. He had a reputation as a quick and nimble striker, a good passer with a mean streak.

Jamison Noel - Midfielder & Set Piece Specialist
Season 25, 38 - 39: multiple appearances

The best player from the original Waves team (later renamed FC Drakkar). Reknowned playmaker and set piece specialist, he played only briefly for Drakkar before being sold to Switzerland's FC Sharksbay to provide needed cash for the young team. Returned to the team 13 years later to finish his career.

Eldon Keeler - Striker
An American striker from the youth system of DC Corruption. Purchased in season 30 for US $1.2M from Maccabi Yifat after playing overseas in Belgium, Poland and Israel. The young striker, renowned for his quickness, had already scored 35 goals by the time of his acquisition at the age of 21.

Ed Van Booven - Striker & Utility
Fills in as both striker and as a wingback. Great in the air, he scored the first ever Drakkar goal by heading a cross from Mike Mobley against league rival Puro Azul. An original Drakkar player from the first season

An American striker from the youth system of the Dallas Burn. He was purchased prior to season 34 for US $1.8M from Swedish outfit Värsjö IF. Had scored 40 goals prior to his service with FC Drakkar, many a result of his blazing speed.

Acquired as a youngster at age 17 from Polish side Bombownia Wójt, he trained hard and became a top midfielder. Played over 100 matches and eight seasons with FC Drakkar.

Kevin Ley - Striker
Season 25 - 30: 47 goals, 39 appearances

Acquired from Sachsen-Anhtitle's Ottonen franchise in Drakkar's first season, he was a mainstay in the Drakkar front line for almost five seasons.

He scored Drakkar's first hat trick, led the team in goals twice and was the club MVP in season 26. He left Drakkar as the all-time leading goal scorer with 47 goals and the single season goal leader with 23. His goal average at Drakkar was 1.2 goals per match.

Wienus Keeman - Attacking Midfielder
Season 26 - 30: 30 goals, 62 appearances

Acquired in season 26 as part of the second set of midfield trainees from VC Heist-USO in Brussels. Great in the air, he scored a surprising number of goals many with his head. Because of his profilic scoring from the midfield position, he was nick named "Goal Machine" Keeman.

He left Drakkar as second on the all-time scoring list and first in caps. He was name club MVP in season 29 and club Co-MVP in season 30. Also, the most expensive Drakkar player ever sold at just under 2M.

Raul Mateus - Attacking Midfielder
Season 25 - 30: 11 goals, 51 appearances

Purchased as a 18-year-old trainee from Portugal during season 27, he developed into a world class midfielder with exception passing skill. Eventually return to his homeland to play for Sport Costa e Benfica

Was named club Co-MVP in Season 30 before being sold for 1.85M.

Reuben Pullen - Goal Keeper
Season 32 - 34: 15 clean sheets, 44 appearances

Bought by FC Drakkar in season 32, Pullen at 23 years old was already an elite keeper. Originally from the North Dakota Flying Buffalo youth squad, he played the bulk of his young career in Maryland with Valkyries United. His purchase price of almost US $2.2M made him the most expensive Drakkar player acquisition until he his replacement was purchased. A talented, but controversial keeper who would excel on the pitch, but his nasty disposition alienated his coaches and teammates.

Harry Craven - Midfielder
Season 29 - 34: 18 goals, 69 appearances, 115 total appearances

Harry was an youth player for FC Drakkar that managed to make the jump to the regular squad in season 29. Unpredictable at times, he has grown with the big club and is the best player from the youth program to date.

He has played on three title winning teams and left Drakkar first in caps with more than 65 league and cup matches and 105 total appearances. He was also the second most expensive Drakkar player ever sold at the time at just under 3M.

John Tucker - Defender & Set Piece Specialist
Season 28 - 35: 21 goals, 40 appearances

A veteran defender purchased from the The Flossers for just over $270k. Most renown for his experience and set piece ability. His penalty kick hat trick gave FC Drakkar their first Series V victory and his eight league goals that season allowed Drakkar to survive its first season after promoting. For this he was named club MVP in Season 28.

Season 32 - 37: 72 goals, 73 appearances

A striker purchased in season 32 for US $1.1M from Deportivo Demonios Rojos. An effective target man in the box as well as from the wide position.

Denny Sanders - Goal Keeper
Season 27 - 37: 7 clean sheets, 30 appearances, 115 total appearances

Arrived at the beginning of season 27 as a more experienced keeper to compliment Henry Woodson. Has played with six other teams and in more than 115 matches after being promoted from FC Raven's youth program.

The anchor of Drakkar's defense. Flexible enough to play both central defender and as a wing back and is also a good playmaker and scorer from the rear. An original Drakkar player from the first season.

A veteran striker acquired half way through season 30. Skilled in playing both in front of the goal and out wide as well as being a talented set piece taker. He has 182 career goals and 24 career hat tricks. In addition, he has a reputation as a solid team leader and and at the beginning of season 36 was promoted to head coach.

Daniel Penn - Goal Keeper & Set Piece Specialist
Season 24 - 38: 7 clean sheets, 26 appearances, 93 total appearances

Acquired from New York's Spocker in season 34, his transfer price of just under US $4.1M shattered the old record. At 26 he was already an accomplished keeper and set piece specialist having played over 150 matches for four different clubs.

Season 38 - 41: 9 clean sheets, 33 appearances, 35 total appearances

Acquired from Poland's Zawisza Bydgoszcz in season 39 for $2.5M. At 19 years old, he is charged with replacing the great Daniel Penn. Several productive years later, he was sold to Uridium Skara Brae or Scotland for a record $6.2M

Purchased at the beginning of Season 31, he came in and scored 11 goals that season, mostly on free kicks and penalties. Plays primarily as a wingback who is adept at coming forward on attack. A veteran striker acquired half way through season 30. In addition, he has a reputation as a solid team leader and and at the beginning of season 36 was promoted to head coach replacing Daniel Mccracken. His tenure saw Drakkar reach is highest points with a promotion to Series II and a cup run to round 11.

Daniel Mccracken - Coach [season 32-35]
Record: 43 League Wins & 22 Cup Wins in 4 seasons

A veteran midfielder acquired in season 29, he was adept at playing a holding midfield role or other specialty positions. He played in 46 matches for FC Drakkar, scored 7 goals and captained the team 24 times. As a player he was a fine team leader, so at the beginning of season 32, he was promoted to head coach upon the departure of Aceng Jainal. He was the first former player turned coach at FC Drakkar.
 
 
Aceng Jainal - Coach [season 26-31]
Record: 50 League Wins & 9 Cup Wins over 5+ Seasons

Jainal was hired at the end of season 26 in order to accelerate the development of Drakkar's younger players and improve the team attitude. After several successful coaching jobs in the Far East, he moved to FC Drakkar and brought his attacking style of football to North America.

After five plus seasons at the helm, he compiled 50 league victories, two series championships and two league promotions. After season 31, he returned to the Far East seeking greener pastures.

He leaves us with his favorite Indonesian proverb: "Air susu dibalas dengan air tuba!" or "Milk is repaid with poison!"
 
 
Dimitris Makaay - Coach [season 25-26]
Record: 8 League Wins over 1+ Seasons

Makaay was hired as Drakkar's first coach and was a disciple of Dutch coaching legend Rinus Michels. Like his mentor, he believed in dominating the midfield and a robust attack. Makaay was let go at the end of season 26 after leading Drakkar to a fourth place finish.

Founded the FC Drakkar Juniors Youth Academy in season 32 and is responsible for developing youth talent for the club.
